2014 Integrity 380 Sedan
THE NAME SAYS IT ALL.
Reluctant Sale of this proven coastal cruiser.
Having had the privilege of delivering this beautiful boat from Kerikeri to Picton for the new owner, I can say it was one of my most enjoyable and memorable experiences travelling down our stunning East Coast.
The Integrity 380 Sedan is a popular motor yacht designed and built by Integrity Motor Yachts, an Australian-based company that specializes in producing high-quality trawler-style vessels. The 380 is designed to be comfortable and functional, making it suitable for long-term cruising and even in the most challenging sea conditions.
The Integrity range of boats were created with the Australasian market and climate specifically in mind. This is a boat that offers no-drama boating, where the journey is as enjoyable as the destination.
This sedan-style displacement launch features a full-beam cabin top that covers the cockpit and walkaround side decks, custom ladder providing easy access to roof, high wrap-around bulwarks (with scuppers) and railings providing safety for guests and pets.
One-level living blends inside and outside thanks to a combination of two large hopper windows and a sliding half-height stable door opening the saloon to the cockpit and the water beyond. The helmsman’s side door and deep, sliding side windows in the saloon further open the boat to the outside, letting in light and air.
Aft galleys seem to resonate with Kiwi boaties and this one is larger than most, with the bench extending all the way down the starboard side of the saloon. It provides a huge food prep area and functions as a natural buffet servery for guests in the cockpit. With under-bench fridge and overhead microwave oven, an electric double hob, and a double sink hidden under the bench top, everything is within reach.
The starboard side helm is placed for not only good visibility, almost 360° – for the skipper, but a side door offers easy access to the wide bulwarks. This is a great feature when short-handed, especially if you need to go on deck to handle mooring lines or sort out the anchor.
Down below, the forward master stateroom features an island queen berth with easily-accessed raised walkways either side. There’s storage drawers under as well as a couple of hanging lockers and the cabin is finished in a combination of soft fabrics, polished timber and a teak and holly sole.
The second cabin is to port and is fitted out with a double berth. If you’re on day trips then this cabin also doubles as a changing room for guests and a place to stow casual day gear. Like the main cabin every nook and cranny has been commandeered for storage.
Opposite is the head/shower compartment complete with a reasonably large separate shower stall. There is excellent ventilation from a large opening side port, freshwater electric head (New 2019) and large recessed basin. Bigger people will find the space very acceptable, which is something that the 38 Sedan benefits from in every area.
The large cockpit is uncluttered and can be fully enclosed, turning it into a cosy extension of the saloon. This vessel also has reverse-cycle air-conditioning, which you will appreciate on those chilly winter mornings, making this an all year round vessel!
With a wide transom gate onto the duckboard it's the perfect platform to swim, fish and launch a dinghy from. Here you will also find a drop-down ladder and a hot- and cold-water hand-held shower.
Top speed is approx 10.5 knts from the 6-cylinder, 6.8-litre, 225hp John Deere engine. This is a boat that seems right at home doing 7-8 knots all day, for a very miserly fuel usage.
If there is one word that for me sums up the Integrity 380 Sedan it’s ‘easability’. It’s a boat that is fast finding appeal with more experienced boat owners who want a boat that is easy to use, practical in all facets of design and engineering.
