2003 Vindex 40 Hardtop

Auckland

NZ$290,000

The Vindex 40 offers comforts normally found in a larger vessel boasting an well-equipped aft galley, a spacious table and lounge setting and a twin cabin layout with a large island bed in the master cabin and a double and single bed in the guest cabin.

Equipped with three steering stations gives you options to manoeuvre this boat in any situation.

Powered by a 440hp Yanmar on V Drive, this single diesel engine performs extremely well and keeps servicing and running costs manageable.

The cockpit is a traditional Kiwi affair with little in the way of seating but with a stack of room for fishing. Game rigged, Blue Legacy comes with the ultimate game chair for those more serious anglers.  A clever stern gate slides open and shut on genoa tracks and disappears into the stern mouldings for uninterrupted access to the water or to get those big fish onboard. The TFX engine and bow thruster controls are located on the port cockpit combing. A sink with shower rose and general storage cabinet is located in behind the flybridge staircase. Further aft there are bait tanks, one each side of the swim/dive platform with a pullout stainless swim ladder.

The Vindex 40 has a moulded spiral staircase providing easy and safe access to the flybridge. The flybridge itself is fully moulded with overhead vinyl liners and moulded safety glass windows. There is a forward-facing two-seater lounger set against the port side and a three-seater bench at the helm with a reversible back. Visibility is unrestricted from the helm and instruments are well laid out, with all controls and switches in easy reach of the skipper.

All up, this Vindex 40 is a nicely finished and a comfortable cruiser that would lend itself well to extended cruising for family and friends.
