1992 Altena 36

This custom Altena 36 was beautifully built in Holland and the Altena yard is well known for a good quality build. The steel hull is strong and safe. The current owner of 20 years used NJORD as a travelling holiday home in the canals in Europe until she was relocated to NZ in late 2020 (as owner could no longer travel to Europe to use her). She has been kept in Lake Taupo since at the lovely Motuoapa Marina.

She is very economical to run with the 60hp Nanni 6 cylinder diesel moving her along at a comfortable 6.5 knots @ 1500 RPM using approx 3 litres per hour. The bow thruster makes docking a breeze. Recently hauled out in Dec 2022 for new antifouling and engine service etc.
