1987 Markline 1300

Auckland

NZ$175,000

This Markline 1300 has been in the same hands for the last 20 years and is sure to impress. A well documented log has been kept for each trip since the owners purchased in October 2003. Akiwa II was initially built to survey spec for safety of regular trips crossing the Cook Strait to the Marlborough Sounds and still has many of the extra safety features including a fire hose etc, but the she was not commercially chartered.

The layout is great with a spacious saloon with flexible seating options including a sofabed couch to port, two seats to starboard and the helm seat can swap to face aft as well. TV, DVD and a vast minibar make for great entertaining options. The forward galley is well laid out and being only two steps down, it does not feel separated from the main saloon. It has a 4 burner gas oven and large fridge and freezer. The helm is well laid out with good access to controls, gauges and switchboards.

Moving forward we have two double cabins with good head height and plenty of storage throughout. There is comfortable sleeping for six when including the saloon sofabed. The bathroom has an electric head with holding tank and separate shower cubicle.

The engine room has good access for servicing the well maintained twin 375hp Caterpillar 3208 Diesels with shaft drives. The port engine was rebuilt in 2020 (at 3695 hours). The starboard engine has had the head gasket done. New shafts and bearings done in 2021. The Westerbeke 5.7kw generator also had a full recon in 2021.

Also included is a South Pacific 310 RIB Tender with a 2 year old Seabird 6hp outboard.

Option to buy 14m berth at West Harbour Marina also available. Contact us for more details.

December update - Asking price lowered to $175k. All reasonable offers will be considered. Owner wants her sold!
