1952 Custom 39' Kauri Bridgedecker

This classic NZ Built Kauri Bridgedecker presents well due to how well the current owners have maintained her since purchasing her in 1994.  We have been told the hull was built by Orams and Davies Whangarei in the early 1950's (exact year not known) and used as a commercial fisher until 1967.  In 1967/68 she had a complete make over with new engines and full layout change into a bridgedecker (basically only the hull would have been reused).  We believe the rebuild was designed by Mastercraft and she was rebuilt by Merv Ryan in Whangarei. The hull is Kauri Carvel and the decks are timber/ply glassed over.

She has a great layout with nice walkthrough transom entering a well protected cockpit.  There a duel bench seats in the aft saloon with galley midships on starboard and enclosed head to port. Forward moves up to the pilothouse with great visibility from the helm and plenty more seating.  Forward of the helm is a nicely appointed double cabin with plenty of storage and second head and sink.

Powered by a pair of 75hp Fords with have approx 3000 hours use, she cruises comfortably at 8.3 knots doing 1850rpm.

Recently hauled to sort some woodwork in the foredeck, she has plenty of recent work and upgrades, including new certified gas system for the cooker and new hot water cylinder.

Option to buy the current berth at Westhaven Marina by separate negotiation.  Berth lease up until April 2029.
